TJ Rogers

One of the absolute friendliest humans, TJ Rogers grew up skating at Iroquois Skatepark in Whitby, Canada and would be hard pressed to be caught on his skateboard without a smile. It hasn’t always been all grins, though. TJ was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2022 just after his 30th birthday. He went through surgery and chemotherapy and returned to competition in 2023.  The fast timeline is likely due to his lack of hesitation. “If your body is hurting, it’s saying something. Listen to it. Don’t be embarrassed,” says TJ. “Going to the doctor when I did made the world of a difference for me.” When it comes to contest results and video parts, the list goes on… but one must-see video is his 2023 part, “Keep Smiling.” He always is.
