Snowboarding
The start of this winter season saw a strong celebration of snowboard culture through films and community. Among those videos to premiere at were Nitro Snowboards’ Spike and When Doves Cry from Bode Merrill and Shane Charlebois. These two films drew a large crowd to the La Paloma Theater in Encinitas, California, where we got to hear from Nitro’s own Sam Taxwood on the opportunity he had to incorporate his “ride everything” mentality and from filmmaker Ted Borland, who helped shape it all together. And get Bode Merril’s perspective behind When Doves Cry and his love for snowboarding, and endless creativity—alongside someone who has filmed it all and continues to produce some of snowboarding’s best films, Shane Charlebois.
