Asahi Kaihara

Nobody is doing it quite like Asahi Kaihara. By way of Osaka, Japan, Asahi has made her name known on the international stage for good reason. Yes, she is a contest skater that knows how to perform under pressure, but that is not her only claim to fame. Unlike a lot of skateboarders in today’s contest circuit, Asahi is riding for one of skateboarding’s most raw crews under the Blood Wizard flag. Riding for Blood Wizard means you can catch her on the road with the squad stacking clips for their next video release (helmed by legendary skateboard filmmaker Chris Greegson). Asahi is also a pioneer of style, both in her look as well as her trick selection. The best example is her switch front foot impossible to regular that has become her go-to under contest pressure—it’s her own chef’s kiss to vert and transition contest skating.
