How many skaters can hit handrails, 360 in the streets, flip their board well above coping AND 540? Not many, and that’s why Taylor Nye is finally getting what he deserves—respect.

After popping up in Am events for a few years (including a 2nd place finish in 2017 at Combi), in 2023 Taylor put down a run at the Pan American Games that outright won the event. Since then there’s been no looking back, he’s after the podium at every pro event he enters. A member of the Tanabata Skateboards team alongside Sky Brown and Pedro Barros, Taylor is in good company with his elite abilities. He’s smooth. He’s dependable. But unlike a shiny new car, Taylor’s happy to ride any terrain and does some of his best work parked in a backyard, poolside.
