Tate Carew

Tate Carew turned pro for Birdhouse in 2024 when Tony Hawk and Mark Gonzales surprised him with his first signature pro deck while he was in Paris skating in the Olympics for Team USA. That is some legendary shit, right there. Tate is a second generation skater, meaning his father, Dave, grew up skating at Upland Skatepark (a skateboarding proving grounds, if there ever was one). Tate, though, grew up skating at the Mission Valley Krause Family YMCA Skatepark. Less known for their lore, but now being recognized for their Olympic-level alumni. Since the Games he has been seen on podiums such as the 2025 STU Pro Vert (3rd) and Park (2nd) contests in March of 2025, then taking home X Games bronze in Chiba later that year. Tate can clearly do it all: park, pool and vert. He also plays a little guitar and harmonica.
