There’s turning it up a notch, there’s turning it up to 11, and then there’s GVLLOW rocking up to the Rockstar Energy Open at 11pm to crash the hotel afterparty at Moxy Portland.

Mosh pits in the hotel lobby, punk rock echoing through the building, and a touch of doom, gloom and dark wave to top it off. Stage dives into beanbag chairs. Absolute chaos. The surprise secret show was just what the RSEO PDX skaters needed, still fired up from the Angel Du$t and Hot Mulligan concert and a full day of havoc on the Street and Park courses.

GVLLOW blasted through pop punk hits "Road to Nowhere," "Leave It All Behind," and "Make It On My Own" from the band's new album Laughing In The Dark and also did a deep dive through darker material from the earlier albums Waste Away and House of the Dead. Everyone got rowdiest towards the last few songs, Lazer Crawford's shirtless dad Mike directing traffic in the middle of a full-on circle pit, skaters crowdsurfing, the whole room coming asunder.

Night 3 of the Moxy afterparty featured all the other hallmarks of a Rockstar party: free tattoos, impromptu dice games on the sidewalk amidst billows of smoke, heated games of SKATE on the street, DJ Romar on the ones and twos, skaters trading industry gossip and lore, and more, more, more. The Moxy photobooth was working overtime, and the RSEO x Cordaroy beanbag chairs were, too.
