Station in Santa Monica, California but hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ivan Monteiro is one of the most technical skaters with the chops to bring those tricks into a contest setting. Way back in 2015 Ivan earned 3rd at Cowtown’s PHXAM and the onslaught at every Am event that soon came after was the beginning of a storm that has never ceased. You name it, he’s skated in and found podium if not the win. From Damn Ams to the TransWorld Come Up Tour, Mystic Cup, Grand Prix, international opens and everything in between—Ivan has shown up and crushed them all. His rise in the ranks was inevitable. In 2019 he went on a tear: 6th SLS World Championship in Rio de Janeiro, 4th at Tampa Pro, 4th at X Games Shanghai, and then at the Kimberley Diamond Cup he won it all. Then, in 2021, Ivan took home top honors at the legendary Simple Session event in Estonia and the Mystic Cup, cementing his presence. He followed up in 2023 with another Mystic Cup win.
