Yuri Ashizawa

Still a relatively unknown force, Yuri Ashizawa is one of Japan’s latest female skaters to find herself skating alongside the best. She earned 10th in the field of 22 at the 2025 Japan Open at just 13 years old. Only a teenager, Yuri is already showing she is the real deal and that her competitors should beware. Using her entry to contest in the 2025 Rockstar Energy Open Video Qualifier Series (RESO VQS), Yuri not only impressed the judges she completely blew her competition away to earn her invitation to skate the in-person event in Portland, Oregon. So what do we know about her? Just that she is technical and not afraid to go big. Expect her to be hitting the big rails and ledges on course with the occasional laser sharp flip in to wow the masses.
