Cocona Hiraki

A two-time Olympic silver medalist in park, Cocona Hiraki has taken her skateboarding from a humble Hokkaido upbringing to the most prestigious of podiums across the globe. Cocona grew up on Japan’s northern island known primarily in the action sports world for its world-class snowfall and surrounding mountains to ride seemingly endless powder. Well, if you skateboard in a barn you always have the opportunity to take endless turns which is exactly how Cocona honed her skills at the Hot Bowl in Sapporo. Now, coming in fast and with power, Cocona has separated herself from the other women with her arsenal of aggressive lip tricks and catlike prowess to stay on her feet after sending a kickflip over the transfer of choice. Turns out all of that indoor training on a quaint wooden bowl transitioned to cement parks and the world’s stage better than anyone could have predicted.
